Births, Marriages, Deaths, Intentions in the Town of Belchertown, 1773-1841. Dates in this volume range from 1718-1843, with records of marriage and intentions predominating. Of the pages from 1-89, less than half contain data. Those few pages of family records consist mostly of births from 1718-1800, with some related marriages and deaths--and some commentaries; e.g., page 68, "Abigail Washborn was Born January 28th 1772 And was brought up with Mr. Samuell Turner of this Town from the age of 5 years Old to the age 18 years & then went abroad to seek heir [sic] fortain [sic]." Records of marriages and intentions extend from 1786-1843, but water stains obliterate some of the data; severe damage affects records of 1841-1842.
