There are two sets of Boston birth
records for the years 1849-1881. One consists of handwritten
originals, the other is typed from the originals. Filmed were all
33 of the original volumes, two typed volumes to supplement
damaged original volumes, six index volumes, and corrections and
additions to the records that were entered only into the typed
volumes.
