first as a district in 1783 from parts of Harvard,
Littleton, and Stow, became a town in 1835.

[1767-1849].
266 pages. Besides the items shown in the title,
this book records town meeting minutes, identifies
incoming residents and "warns out" some of
them, lists church members claiming exemptions from the
minister's tax, defines boundaries between properties
and towns (perambulations), and registers marriages
and/or intentions of 1790-1856. Births and deaths extend
from about 1767-1845. Town orders show specific services
provided for the poor. Note that most pages have
differing numbers at the top and bottom. In general, top
numbers are referenced here, though 62-63 and 144-145
are missing or blank.
