On 1 March 1786, the North Parish of Shrewsbury became the town of Boylston. Present neighbors include Clinton, Berlin, Northboro, Shrewsbury, Worcester, West Boylston, and Sterling--all in Worcester County, Massachusetts.

Boylston Records [of Intentions 1835-1929 & Marriages 1835-1843]. Book 2.
230 pages. In this book, the town clerk sometimes references marriage intentions as "certificates of marriage." Identify actual marriages by signature of the minister or terms such as "solemnized" and "returns". Divorce data appears when submitted to clear the way for a subsequent marriage. Note that pages 145-230 do not presently appear in this collection, and that the index references less than one-quarter of the book.

Boylston Records 1815-1835. Vol III. 389 pages.
In addition to minutes of town meetings, this book includes juror lists, fence divisions, perambulations, reports of stray animals (and their finders), tax abatements votes, bids for care of poor (p 103), and at least one record of an indentured servant (p 201). Note that tax abatements required an affirmative town meeting vote, and that auctions determined caretakers of the poor.
