Although data as early as 1733 is found in these records, Carver was not incorporated until 1790. Strictly speaking, therefore, most data found in these records before 6 June 1790 should be identified with Plympton. Surrounding Plymouth County towns now include Kingston, Plymouth, Wareham, Middleborough and Plympton.
