Easton, Bristol County, was
established as a town late in the year of 1725. It was taken
from Norton--which had been established from Taunton only 15
years previous. Adjoining towns presently include Sharon and
Stoughton in Norfolk County; Brockton and West Bridgewater in
Plymouth County; and Raynham, Taunton, Norton and Manfield in
Bristol County.
