There are 22 volumes in this collection. One tells that an early resident, Ebenezer Cobb, lived to the age of 107 (1694-1801). Also of special interest are the last few pages of the volume titled "School District Taxes" (fiche 70). They record the signatures (autographs) of voters registering from 1878-1884.

Identified as a copy of books #1 and #2 of the First Parish Records, this appears to be a transcript of a transcript. Of special interest are the baptisms, marriages and deaths from about 1720-1858. Membership lists at various times are given for the First Congregational Parish, the Second Congregational Society, the Baptist Society and possibly others.

Kingston School District Taxes 1864.

This volume lists non-resident taxpayers from about 1864-1866 and registered voters from 1878-1884. Although home place is often listed in the records of non-resident taxpayers, dates are scarce--and may vary from the time period estimated. Also, ink on some of the pages is badly faded. The voter registration includes signatures and, usually, occupations.
