Natick Grand Army of the Republic, General Wadsworth Post No. 63 [with Births 1825-1847, Military Service 1861-1865, Deaths 1868-1895]. 391 pages. These short, personal sketches of members of the G.A.R. may provide place and date of birth (mostly 1825-1847); place and date (1861-1865) of enlistment; rank; company; and discharge date–as well as detail about their military service. Death dates of 1868-1895 are found at the end of the book. One item of special interest: Alphonso B. Pierce was part of the scouting party sent to capture J. Wilkes Booth, assassin of Pres. Abraham Lincoln (p 20). The many blank pages include 1-14, 182-315, 326-352, 357-375, and 379-381.
