Sherborn, located in Middlesex County and first named Boggestow, become a town in 1674. Surrounding towns include Framingham and Natick on the north, Dover on the east, Medfield and Millis on the south, and Ashland and Holliston to the west. Sherborn of Middlesex County should not be confused with Sherborn/Sherburn(e), the name of Nantucket until 1795.
