Shirley, first
established as a district from Groton in 1753, became a
town in 1775. Neighboring towns include Groton and Ayer
in Middlesex County, and Harvard, Lancaster, Lunenburg
and Townsend in Worcester County. This collection
comprises sixteen volumes of records.
