This collection of town and vital records includes sixteen volumes. One volume is filmed twice--35mm for clarity and 16mm for conciseness. Tisbury is one of the few towns with no indexes to the early records. The town is located on Martha's Vineyard, Dukes County--with most residents living in Vineyard Haven.

Separate marriage and/or intentions records are arranged chronologically, but few marriages before 1750 or intentions before 1793 are recorded. Family records prevail in the first half of the book; marriages and intentions predominate in the second half. To increase readability of this old book, these fiches are produced from 35 mm film--with about 10 frames/20 pages per fiche. See fiches 53-56 for our standard 16 mm filming of the same book.
