Winchendon Proprietors Records: Plantation of Ipswich Canada 1735-1794. 216 pages. Transcribed from an original proprietors' book of about 320 pages. Most of the earliest proprietors and grantees lived in Ipswich, Essex County, Massachusetts, and served during the 1690 military expedition to Canada-- either as officers, soldiers, or their survivors. Accordingly, the earliest proprietor meetings occurred in "old" Ipswich rather than in Ipswich Canada (now Winchendon), Worcester County.
