Bolton [Church Certificates] 1817-1833.
36 pages. In order to avoid the minister tax for the
official town church, these residents obtained
certificates of membership in other churches; e.g.,

Universalist. Tax-Exempt Church Members 1817-1833, pp 1-36
on Fiche 76.
Boston:
Boston Church Marriages 1751-1761.
116 pages. Fiches 131-132.
This book, though worn and torn, is especially valuable
because of the lack of 1751-1761 marriages in city
records. Further, the marriages here, arranged by church,
actually date from 1730-1802. Note that the introduction
identifies the churches that existed in 1751, along with
the year of their organization.

Dunstable:
Dunstable Church Records
1834-1898. Book C. About 60
pages/fiche.
Records at the beginning
of the book include the Confession of Faith and
Covenant; as well as such business as rules, discipline
for un-Christian acts, baptisms, admissions, and
dismissals. News items, such as the 1871 death of a past
minister, sometimes appear. The end of the book provides
lists of members at time of baptism, marriage and/or
death; along with a chronological listing of church
admissions and dismissals--perhaps extracted from
earlier pages in the book. Two censuses identify church
members of 1860-1873 and circa 1879-1897, with dates of
church admission ranging from 1813-1897. Dates of death
(ranging from 1861-1898), sometimes with age or place of
death, and new places of residence, also, often appear
in the censuses. Note that 1885 membership consisted of
20 males and 44 females. Fiches 89-93.
Ludlow:
Ludlow [Congregational Church
Records 1819-1839]. About 50 pages +
loose papers. These records report baptisms,
identify church members, give names (and sometimes residence)
of those applying for church admission, provide death notices
or new addresses for most removals, reveal some personal
confessions, and proclaim the Confession of Faith & Covenant
of the church. Fiches 20-21.
