With no federal census available for 1890, lists of voters help fill the gap. Starting in 1884, these lists usually give age, occupation, residence, and registration date of recent relatives. Sometimes you will find the applicant’s place of birth, naturalization data and/or remarks about migration or death--plus an occasional signature.

Andover:
Andover Register of Voters 1877-1884. 52 pages. Provides name, address, and occupation. Fiches 193-194.

Athol:
Athol General Register of Voters [1884-1904]. [Precinct] 1. 92 pages.
Most entries include address, age, place of birth, and occupation; many include a signature.  Fiches 84-86.

Athol General Register of Voters [1884-1905]. [Precinct] 2. 119 pages.
Most entries include address, age, place of birth, and occupation; many include a signature.  Fiches 87-90.

Boylston:
Boylston General Register of (Male) Voters [1884-1940]
. 95 pages. Register on pages 1-94 gives age, place of birth, occupation and, usually, signature of the voter.

This record includes signature of each applicant, as well as age, place of birth and occupation. Some entries give naturalization data and/or remarks regarding migration or death. A few registrations are dated before 1892; i.e., 1880-1891.

Nantucket Register of Voters 1884-1892. Fiches 162-163.
Age, occupation, residence, and registration date are usually given for male voters. For some male and female registrations, the date and reason for removal from the voting list is given; e.g., non-payment, change of residence, death. For most women voters, only the name is given.

Westford Register of Voters [1884-1891]. About 70 pages. Fiche 139.
